About the Event
Do you know how many times a person looks in the mirror every day? Most people look in the mirror to check their image before leaving the house or going to work. In this workshop we will go beyond the surface and uncover a deeper understanding of the power of mirrors and our reflection.
We will start our evening in circle with some tea. Each person will receive a compact mirror that they can decorate in any way that they'd like using paints, glitter, colors, etc. As they dry, I will provide a few journal prompts and introduce mirror work for those who are unfamiliar. We'll then engage in some fun group mirror exercises designed to challenge limiting beliefs and foster self-compassion.
Drawing inspiration from the work of Tara Well, who has extensively studied mirror meditation and written a book on the subject, we'll explore various ways of using a mirror to cultivate love and compassion for ourselves. Her teachings will be shared throughout the session, along with several meditations and practices you can take with you wherever you go.
Mirror meditation can help us to achieve a deeper understanding of ourselves, as well as provide us with multiple tools to help us with self-love and growth.
Sliding scale: $20-$30
